Founded in 2004, MERIN is dedicated to improving the quality of health care by providing a state-of-the-art facility for advanced surgical training and the testing of innovative surgical procedures and new equipment.

MERIN has focused its efforts on being an Advanced "friendly" training location.

Because of MERIN, new surgical procedures and innovative surgical instruments and techniques can be tested which can result in improved health care delivery; less invasive operations, improved surgical outcomes; shorter patient recovery time, and the reduction of post-surgical infection.

MERIN is the only bio-skills facility in Nevada and the largest in the Western United States.
